Instructor Name: Prof. Sudarshan Gurjar
Course Type: Core
Pre-requisites: MA105
Course Content: Analytics functions, Cauchy-Reimann equations, harmonic functions, Power series and their properties, Elementary functions, Cauchy's theorem, Taylor series and Laurent expansions, Residues and the Cauchy residue formula, Improper integrals, Conformal mappings, Inversion of Laplace transforms
Books: R.V. Churchill and J.W. Brown, Complex variables and applications
Lectures: It is a half semester course. No attendance policy. The instructor mostly follows slides while teaching, and the slides are more than sufficient for the exams.
Assignments: The tutorial are pretty extensive and are of a good level.
Exams and Grading: 1 quiz, of weightage 10% is considered, apart from endsem.
