Process of securing the intern 

I apped to the professor personally since I have worked in the field during the last Winter. The professor agreed after asking for a Letter of Recommendation. 

What were you working on?

I worked on theoretical aspects of superconducting circuits, which is one of the possible physical realisations of Quantum computer.

Workload and tools used

Workload was average and I worked about 6-7 hours a day on weekdays.

I used theory of Harmonic Oscillator, perturbation theory.

I used a little bit of python and Mathematica. 

Courses that were relevant

Quantum Mechanics 1. Electrodynamics. Differential Equations. Complex Analysis. 

What did you learn during the internship?

Quantum Circuit electrodynamics. Cooking. Interacting with strangers.

What are the places that you visited?

Trekking. New Haven. New York. Boston. Orlando.

What did you expect from the internship before starting? Did your expectation change? If yes, how?

I expected to do research and achieve a result. But after starting the internship, I realised that professor intended me to get exposed to super-conducting Quantum circuit and understand the theoretical framework. Therefore, my intent changed to learning as much as I can.
