Process of securing the intern 

I just approached the prof.

What were you working on?

Data analysis primarily - the prof was working on making a portable haemoglobinometer and he wanted to perform principle component analysis on the data from a sensor. I did that bit. 

Workload and tools used

Very light. I don't work for the whole summers as I wanted a little bit of a break. First year's summer was hectic.
