Lectures:
The course follows a strict attendance policy.
Marks are given as per number of classes attended. The professor uses a
combination of the blackboard and slides to teach. Most of the lectures follow
a discussion format in which the class delves deeper into topics through
discussion. As a result, paying attention in lectures is extremely helpful. The
instructor regularly gives extra readings which are to be read by students
prior to the following lectures
Assignments:
The instructor was keen on giving a project but
on request of the students, scrapped it in favor of a quiz 2
Exams and Grading:
Two quizzes of 10 marks each were conducted, a
midsem of 40 marks and an endsem of 30 marks. 10 marks were allotted to
attendance. The grading scheme was not too strict. Exams consisted of a
combination of multiple-choice questions and subjective questions (short notes)

Pro-Tips:
Study with friends. The syllabus is extremely
vast and takes a lot of time to cover. This is a course that becomes a lot
easier by dividing topics and explaining the concepts to each other. The
professor mostly tells the class beforehand which topics will come as short
notes in the exam so keep a lookout for this in class. MCQ is asked almost
exclusively from the slides
Personal Comments:
The professor is extremely engaging and fun to
interact with in class. However, this course can become tedious due to the
sheer amount of extra reading provided
